Sligo CTC v Ballinode PLC

Sligo CTC were playing Ballinode PLC on 24th November on the astro pitch at the showgrounds.  It turned out to be a very one sided game with Sligo CTC been too strong for their opponents. It was a chance for a lot of trainees to play and all 20 players played a minimum of 40 minutes on the day which will be of great benefit to them going forward. We will play Ballinode senior school team in the coming weeks which will be a good test for the Sligo CTC team.

Squad for the match: Karl Mc Donagh, Graham Irwin, Corey Conlon, Adam Cunningham, Christopher Fowley, Aaron Jinks, Bradley Fowley, Fiach O'Connor, Romano O'Kane, Andre Mills, Thomas Myers, Maija Matuka, Sanita Bruzite, Cori Gorevan, Aaron Mills, Brandon Smith, Jonathan Kaniki, Patrick Gilmartin, Brandon O'Neil, Stanley Harte.

Goal scorers: Bradley Fowley x 3, Karl McDonagh x 2, Aaron x 2, Andre Mills x 2, Thomas Myers x 1, Aaron Jinks x 1, Stanley Harte x 1.

Girls Active - Week Five - Union Wood Walk

As part of girls active last week the girls went for a guided walk by Warner and William in Union Wood. Union Wood is a large area of mixed forestry located between Collooney, Ballygawley and Ballisodare and provides a wonderful amenity for Sligo. The wood provides a range of walking opportunities through diverse woodland as well as access to Union Rock and its wonderful panorama of the North West of Ireland.  This was a very enjoyable experience for the group.
